1. Agreement and company information

By creating an account, purchasing a product, booking a lesson, or otherwise using the website or services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and the applicable privacy rules. If you do not agree, do not register, purchase, or use the services.

Kalimah Company for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers

Registered in Cairo, Egypt · Commercial Registration No. 408421

Nasr City, District 10, El Farouk Omar Street, Block 20, Building 6

2. Eligibility, guardians, and accounts

  • Arabic for adults is available from age 13.
  • Arabic for children and Quran programs are available from age 6.
  • A learner under 18 must be represented by a parent or legal guardian for booking and payment decisions.
  • Account information and contact details must be accurate and kept up to date.
  • Login details must not be shared. The account holder is responsible for activity performed through the account.

3. Placement assessment and introductory lesson

The placement assessment is a free 30-minute diagnostic session conducted by an experienced placement teacher. Its purpose is to identify the learner’s current ability and recommend a suitable level, program, and teacher.

After the assessment, the learner may optionally book a paid 30-minute introductory lesson with the recommended teacher for $5, subject to availability. This introductory lesson is not the placement assessment and is not free.

Teacher recommendations are academic recommendations, not guarantees of permanent availability.

4. Learning products and validity

Flexible appointments

Students may purchase any number of private classes and book available times as needed. Appointment credit is valid for 60 days from purchase. Unused credit expires at the end of that period unless an approved exception or extension applies.

Monthly and long-term plans

Plan hours, commitment period, lesson duration, rescheduling allowance, and total prepaid price are those displayed on the relevant plan page and confirmed at purchase. Long-term figures represent prepaid package prices, not automatic monthly billing unless explicitly stated.

Learning materials

Books, downloads, and other materials are not included unless the product description expressly says they are included.

5. Scheduling, attendance, and rescheduling

  • All booking and rescheduling are subject to the teacher’s live availability and the product validity period.
  • Available class times are displayed in the time zone detected from the learner’s device. The learner must verify that the displayed time zone is correct before confirming a booking.
  • The confirmed booking record must retain both the learner’s IANA time zone and the corresponding Cairo base time so later reminders remain consistent through daylight-saving changes.
  • A private lesson may be rescheduled at least 24 hours before its scheduled start time.
  • A lesson cancelled or moved with less than 24 hours’ notice may be counted and deducted in full.
  • Student lateness is deducted from the booked lesson time; the lesson does not automatically extend.
  • If the student stops a lesson after it begins, the full booked time is counted.
  • If a teacher is absent or Kalimah’s teaching system prevents delivery, Kalimah will arrange replacement time or credit for the undelivered portion.
  • The learner is responsible for a suitable device, internet connection, audio, and access to the agreed classroom.

6. Teacher matching and changes

Kalimah recommends and assigns teachers according to learner suitability, program specialization, support language, gender preference where available, and schedule availability.

A student may request a teacher change through Kalimah. The change remains subject to academic suitability and availability. Payments for Kalimah lessons must be made to Kalimah; students and teachers may not bypass the center to arrange private payment for a relationship introduced through the service.

7. Payments, expiry, and refunds

  • Prices, discounts, currency, payment method, and validity are confirmed at checkout.
  • Expired, consumed, missed, or late-cancelled lesson credit is non-refundable.
  • Refunds apply only to eligible unused and unconfirmed lessons within the relevant product’s refund window.
  • Where eligible, a request made before the first lesson may return up to 90% of the unused payment; after lessons begin, an eligible refund may return up to 70% of the unused value.
  • Payment-gateway charges, bank fees, and the value of promotional discounts may be deducted.
  • Appointment refund requests must be made within 60 days of payment. Plan refund requests must be made within 7 days unless the confirmed product states otherwise.

Refund requests should identify the account, product, teacher where relevant, purchase date, and reason. Processing time also depends on the student’s bank or payment provider.

8. Group programs

Group programs follow a shared timetable and curriculum. Arabic groups contain 3 to 6 learners and complete one level through 20 two-hour sessions. Quran groups include 12 sixty-minute sessions per month with up to 4 learners. The displayed group price and final confirmed schedule apply at enrolment.

New group learners complete a free 30-minute placement assessment with an experienced placement teacher. Returning learners may skip a new assessment only after Kalimah verifies their latest confirmed level.

The time selected in the first request is a preference, not a guaranteed cohort time. Cohorts are formed according to verified level, gender where applicable, capacity, minimum enrolment, and the fixed time preferred by the largest number of suitable learners. If no suitable cohort is available at the learner’s preferred time, Kalimah may offer another published time, a later round, or a waiting-list option. An alternative time is not final until the learner accepts it.

After the cohort timetable is confirmed, an individual learner cannot change the group time or require the group to repeat missed content. If Kalimah cancels a group lesson, a replacement arrangement will be provided. If the learner misses a delivered group lesson, the lesson remains counted.

9. Books, publications, and digital content

Books, PDFs, videos, course presentations, downloads, and other learning materials are licensed for the purchaser’s personal educational use only. They may not be copied, resold, distributed, uploaded, shared publicly, or forwarded to another person without written permission.

Digital publications and downloads are non-refundable once access or delivery has been provided, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.

10. Lesson recordings, privacy, and user content

Kalimah may record lessons for academic supervision, quality assurance, complaint review, teacher development, and learner support, subject to the privacy policy and applicable law. Users must not independently record, publish, or distribute another participant’s image, voice, personal information, or lesson content without authorization.

Information may be retained where necessary to provide services, meet legal obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and enforce these terms.

11. Conduct, complaints, and account suspension

Students, guardians, and teachers must communicate respectfully, use official channels, protect confidential information, and avoid illegal, abusive, misleading, or unauthorized activity.

Kalimah may investigate complaints, restrict access, cancel bookings, or suspend an account where these terms, safety requirements, payment obligations, or intellectual-property rights are materially breached. The user will be informed where appropriate and lawful.

12. Changes, severability, and governing law

Kalimah may update these terms when services or policies change. The effective date will be shown on this page. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

If one provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the competent Egyptian courts.

The summary cards at the top are provided for clarity. The complete sections on this page control if a summary is incomplete.
